Collette Handy founded FairChoice Mortgage Co. in 1997 with a simple but radical idea: that every borrower deserves a clear strategy, not just the fastest approval. His wife joined him, then his son Sean — and for nearly three decades, the Handy family has been proving that a mortgage brokerage can operate differently.

A long-standing member and former director on the board of the Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association (IMBA), and former vice president of the Peel Multicultural Council, he brings an unmatched breadth of financial expertise to every client file. He specializes in finding ways to make you better off financially — not just approved.

Sean joined his parents at FairChoice in 2001 and never looked back. He brings the same coached-not-sold philosophy to commercial files, self-employed borrowers, and complex refinances. Where the major banks see a file that doesn't fit the box, Sean sees a person with a goal — and he finds the lender who sees the same thing. He handles the full mortgage application process, from gathering documentation to negotiating terms, so you can focus on the life you're building.
